A stretch laminate comprising: (a) a first layer comprising an elastomer film, the first layer having a surface; (b) a second layer comprising a nonwoven material, the second layer having a surface that is attached to the surface of the first layer; (c) a third layer comprising a nonwoven material, the third layer having a surface that is attached to the first layer on a surface opposite the second layer; and (d) adhesive disposed between the first layer and the second layer, and disposed between the first layer and the third layer; wherein the adhesive disposed between any two layers is applied in (i) a continuous layer, or (ii) a discontinuous pattern; and wherein the tensile behavior in the transverse direction of the stretch laminate is within about 2.5 N/cm of the tensile behavior in the transverse direction of the film at an engineering strain of about 1.5, and exists independent of mechanical activation.
